Northwest Airlines (often referred to as NWA) is an American air carrier and one of the world's largest airlines, headquartered in Eagan, Minnesota, USA. As a member of Skyteam, a global airline alliance which include KLM, Delta Airlines, Continental Airlines and Korean Air, the airline serves more than 900 destinations in more than 140 countries on six continents. Some of the major destinations served by Northwest Airlines include Frankfurt, London, Mumbai, Seattle, Orlando, Boston, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Beijing, Mexico City, Calgary and Toronto. Northwest Airlines maintains major hubs in Detroit, Minneapolis / St. Paul, Memphis as well as in Tokyo and Amsterdam.
