Air France is a French airline and a subsidiary of the Air France-KLM Group, based in Paris. Although Air France merged with Air France in 1994 to create Air France-KLM, the third largest airline in the world (largest in Europe) in terms of passengers transported, both airlines continue to maintain their own distinct identities. Air France operates domestic and international scheduled passenger services to 185 destinations in Africa, Asia, Europe, Oceania, North and South America. Some of the destinations served by Air France include Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Atlanta, Chicago, Washington, Buenos Aires, Bogota, Dakar, Johannesburg, Riyadh, Damascus, Mauritius and Papeete. It maintains major hubs at Charles de Gaulle International Airport and Orly Airport in Paris as well as at Saint-Exupery International Airport, Lyons with a secondary hub in Nice.
